Welcome to Camp Aldersgate!

Our vision is to set the standard for a camping environment that encourages normalcy, socialization, and inclusiveness to persons with diverse abilities and needs.
We offer camps for children and youth who have conditions such as cancer, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, epilepsy, kidney disorders, autism, Down syndrome, and mental retardation. Hundreds of campers come each year from across Arkansas and from surrounding states to enjoy an experience of a lifetime.
What's Going On At Camp...
What a great week we are having during Kota II Camp!
This week's campers have a variety of disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy and have come together with other kids (some siblings and friends) without disabilities. They are enjoying archery, fishing, swimming, canoeing, an accessible ropes course, nature hikes, art and even SCUBA for the older campers.
Several of the campers this week have already accomplished some "firsts", like canoeing for the first time.
One amazing fact from last week's Cardiac, Arthritis, and Kidney Camp is that the two camp tribes tied with the same number of points during the tribe tally. The campers are divided into two tribes, the Caddo and the Quapaw, while at camp and during their activities throughout the week they are able to earn points for their tribe. During the Closing Ceremony at the end of the week the winning tribe is annouced during the Tribe Tally. Well, both tribes earned 3,243 points each! This is the first time there has ever been a tie!
Below are some photos from last week.
